Truth about Politicians.

In Kevin Kruses essay The Real Loser: Truth it explains how all the politicians bend the truth to get more votes to win an election. It also talks about how they use attack ads against each other so that people will not vote for them only finding out once again that these are all lies. Also it explains four factors since the 1970s that have lowered the cost for politicians who lie and repeat their fabrications through their attack ads. These four factors are the decline in respect for institutions and professionals, changes in media regulation and ownership, political operatives realized they had more room to stretch the truth, and lastly that most news organizations abandoned their roles as political referees.

My reaction to this article is that I believe all this is true and already knew that politicians lie and make up stuff about other politicians to get the public to not vote for the other people. I probably should not admit to this but it is my personal decision and the way I feel about all these politicians. I do not vote because I believe that no matter what any of these politicians say they will not do what they say they will do. They only say these things to get your vote.

  1. I agree with what you are saying about the politicians and their lies. You are correct, they all lie. Obviously they don't call it a lie. The only thing I think you might reconsider is your view on voting. They might not tell the total truth, no, but what you can look at is their past track records. Those are pretty good indicators of how they might act in the future. Then you can at least pick a good candidate that way. I wish I could say that good candidates might eventually turn this around, but I think it is too far gone to stop the mud-slinging now.
